Job Location and Salary
- Location: Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Hyderabad, with coordination activities at the PCU office in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Director will oversee all aspects of project execution, including:
- Leadership and Coordination:
- Manage the daily operations and activities of the project.
- Collaborate with provincial and district-level teams to ensure effective implementation.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement Annual Project Implementation Plans (PIPs).
- Align project goals with timelines and resource allocation.
- Procurement and Financial Management:
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure compliance with World Bank Procurement Regulations.
- Monitor project budgets, transactions, and financial reporting.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to environmental and social standards as outlined in the Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP).
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Team Collaboration:
- Foster a results-driven work environment within the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
- Supervise environmental and social experts and facilitate monitoring and evaluation.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Livestock or Fisheries disciplines.
- A Master’s degree in Project Management is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 15 years of professional experience in BPS-17 or above within the Government sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Director/Manager or Deputy Project Director in foreign-funded projects, preferably World Bank-funded projects.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills in English and Sindhi.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Familiarity with Sindh’s livestock and aquaculture sectors is an advantage.
